This heavy duty belt and disc sander has plenty of power to handle demanding sanding whilst also being capable of fine and delicate work. The solid cast iron table provides ample support and the 1 hp motor provides plenty of power to avoid stalling under pressure.
A belt and disc sander is a very useful addition to most workshops. By changing belt or disc grits and pressure, the machine is equally at home with rapid material removal or fine finishing and moulding shapes. Weighing in at 47kg and powered by a 1hp induction motor the BDS250 really packs a punch – yet is also capable of fine and delicate work. The disc sander is a generous 254mm diameter, with self adhesive discs for simple and easy changing. The table is solid cast iron with a finely ground finish and can be tilted to produce bevels and is fitted with mitre slot and fence.
The belt sander is 150mm wide and the working surface is 420mm long. Sanding can be achieved on the upper surface of the belt against the supporting fence whilst horizontal or it can be raised to an upright vertical position and worked from a side fence. The drum at the front can be used for sanding or creating shapes.
